The aim of this article is to explore the simile “paalor” specified for the hero in lyric 203 of Kurunthokai. Its meaning has to be inferred by correlating the same with social factors present in the anthologies. The specific lyric serves as the primary source for the descriptive study, while the remaining anthologies, ten idylls, commentators’ views, publishers’ opinion, and researchers’ findings serve as the secondary sources. It is derived that the simile sheds light on the principle related to God; as perceived by varunaththaar; the immigrants who were well settled in Tamil Nadu during the period when the specific lyric was written.
