Abstract

Arputha Thiruvandhadhi is considered a work of Tamil literature (sitrilakkiyam). A poetic form where each verse begins with the ending word of the previous verse is called andhadhi. This text primarily reflects the path of Shaivism, centering on devotion to Lord Shiva and complete surrender to the divine. The objective of this study is to identify and analyze the use of Kutriyalugaram grammar features within the verses of Arputha Thiruvandhadhi. This research is conducted as qualitative research using an explanatory method. The key finding of this research is the presence and application of Kutriyalugaram in selected verses. Out of the total 101 verses in Arputha Thiruvandhadhi, 10 verses were chosen for detailed analysis in this research.
